WNBA Basketball Odds July 5 Update

There are three games in the WNBA tonight, starting with a clash between the Seattle Storm and the surging Indiana Fever.

The Storm head into the matchup coming off a 73-63 win over Washington as a 5-point road favorite. Seattle is 4-2 SU in their last six and 3-3 ATS. It's not all good news for Seattle though as they have lost veteran Lauren Jackson for 8-12 weeks due to a hip injury.

The Fever have won their last four games both SU and ATS and they're a 4.5-point home favorite versus Seattle. They've also been hit by the injury bug though, as point guard Briann January is out tonight with a knee injury.

When Seattle and Indiana met up last month the Storm picked up a 68-54 win as a 6-point home favorite. At home the Fever have owned the Storm with a 5-1 record SU and ATS in their last six matchups.

Also on tap tonight the Chicago Sky host the Washington Mystics as both teams try to get back on track.

Washington has only one win in their last six games and they're a lousy 2-8 both SU and ATS in their last 10. Injuries continue to pile up for Washington as Crystal Langhorne is questionable tonight with a bad back. The Mystics are already missing Alana Beard and Monique Currie.

The Sky have also only one win in their last six games while going 2-4 ATS. They last faced the Mystics in June and upset Washington 84-77 as a 5-point road underdog. In tonight's rematch Chicago is a 7-point home favorite. In their last four games against Washington the Sky are 4-0 ATS.

The last game on the WNBA schedule tonight is the Los Angeles Sparks at the Phoenix Mercury.

The Sparks have dropped their last three games and they've lost six straight on the road. To make matter even worse Los Angeles leading scorer Candace Parker is out 6-8 weeks with a torn meniscus in her right knee.

Phoenix is on a roll right now with a 5-1 record SU and ATS in their last six games. That's why they're a 5.5-point home favorite tonight against the Sparks. Phoenix last faced Los Angeles in early June when the Sparks won 98-84 as a 3-point home favorite. Parker led Los Angeles with 22 points in the win.

Looking ahead this week there is a WNBA doubleheader on Friday with Phoenix at Tulsa and New York at San Antonio. Four more games follow on Saturday highlighted by Connecticut at Minnesota and Washington at Indiana.

With just over a month of the WNBA season in the bag the Seattle Storm are pulling away as big WNBA title favorites at 5Dimes. The Storm are +250 favorites, well ahead of the next team on the odds list, the Los Angeles Sparks at +750. The West continues to dominate the odds with Minnesota next at +850, while the first team from the East finally appears next with Connecticut at +900.
