NCAA Sweet 16 Betting Odds

Just because more than half of the field has been sent home doesn't mean it's too late to bet on NCAA Tournament futures. With the Sweet 16 field set new tournament futures odds are posted at all sportsbooks giving anyone whose bracket has been completely busted another chance to make a few bucks on the Big Dance.

The big favorite at all the sportsbooks right now are the Kentucky Wildcats. You won't make much profit on a futures bet on the Wildcats, but if you plan on making one do it at Bodog.ca. The Bodog.ca oddsmakers have listed Kentucky at 11/5 which pays better than the +205 odds at 5Dimes and the 37/20 odds you'll find at SportsInteraction.

If you're a Big Ten supporter you have four teams left standing in the tournament with the best odds currently going Ohio State and Michigan State. The Buckeyes are at 11/2 at Bodog.ca and SportsInteraction right now which tops the +540 odds at 5Dimes. The Spartans may be a higher seed than the Buckeyes but they're lower on the odds list at Bodog.ca at 13/2. Other odds on Michigan State include 9/2 at SportsInteraction and +600 at 5Dimes.

The North Carolina Tar Heels began the tournament among the favorite, but their odds took a bit of a hit after starting point guard Kendall Marshall went down with a broken wrist. The No. 1 seed Tar Heels are currently listed at 7/1 at Bodog.ca, 5/1 at SportsInteraction and +660 at 5Dimes.

The other No. 1 seed still standing is the Syracuse Orange, who began the tournament shorthanded without Fab Melo. The most profitable odds on the Orange right now are found at SportsInteraction where they are listed at 11/1. Other odds on the Orange include 10/1 at Bodog.ca and +1050 at 5Dimes.

Other “contenders” left in the tournament include Kansas and Baylor. The Jayshawks top odds are +810 at 5Dimes, compared to 8/1 at Bodog.ca and 15/2 at SportsInteraction. Finishing things off the Bears are worth much more at +1900 at 5Dimes then they are at Bodog.ca (16/1) or at SportsInteraction (12/1).
