NBA Rookie of the Year Odds

The ongoing NBA lockout may mean there is no NBA season next year, but that hasn't stopped oddsmakers from going ahead and posting odds for next year's Rookie of the Year award.

At Bodog Derrick Williams is the current ROTY favorite at +500. The second overall pick in the draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves was a star at Arizona, but he's behind Kevin Love and Michael Beasley on the T-Wolves depth chart.

If you're looking for true value on the ROTY odds at Bodog another Timberwolves player might be a better option. We're talking about point guard Ricky Rubio. He went fifth overall in the 2009 draft and after a couple years playing in Europe he's finally signed to play in Minnesota with the T-Wolves this season. His experience in Europe could give him a leg up on the recent of this year's rookie class which makes him an intriguing wager at +850.

Also currently listed at +850 at Bodog is March Madness Most Outstanding Player Kemba Walker. He slid down the board during the draft and ended up going to Charlotte ninth overall. There's no doubting that Walker can be a dominant scorer in the league and he should have the chance to make an impact in Charlotte this season. If he makes his mark he could be a steal at +850 right now.
