NBA Betting: Nets set to face rivals

The Brooklyn Nets will face off against some of the top teams in the Eastern Conference this week, starting on Monday night when they play host to the rival New York Knicks at the Barclays Center.

The Nets didn't have much success against the Knicks when they were based in New Jersey, posting records of 3-7 SU and 4-6 ATS over their 10 most recent games against New York. That includes a 104-95 Knicks win as an 8-point NBA betting favorite in New Jersey when the franchises last met on the hardwood last April.

Brooklyn will then hit the road for games in Boston on Wednesday night, in Orlando on Friday night, and in Miami on Saturday night to close out their schedule for the week.

The Heat have won 11 straight games against the Nets heading into their matchup on Saturday night, and they've covered the posted spread on the NBA lines at the sportsbooks in eight of the last 10 games between the two teams dating back to early 2010.

Miami trounced Brooklyn by a score of 103-73 at home as a 10-point favorite when those teams met on November 7 in an UNDER result for totals bettors.

The Heat's only other game this week is a home contest against the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night, and Miami is just 4-6 SU and 6-4 ATS over its past 10 games against Tim Duncan and company. Miami, however, beat San Antonio 120-98 as a 7-point home favorite on the NBA odds in their only meeting last season.
