NBA Betting: Knicks look ahead to tough slate
December 09, 2012
The New York Knicks have been one of the top NBA betting options in the Eastern Conference so far this season, but they'll get a test this week with tough matchups against the Nets and Lakers.
New York, behind only the 5/9 Miami Heat at 13/2 on the odds to win the NBA's Eastern Conference at Bodog, has a road game in Brooklyn on Tuesday night before returning to Madison Square Garden to host the Lakers on Thursday and the Cavaliers on Saturday.
Brooklyn took care of business against their cross-town rival back on November 26, winning 96-89 as a 1-point home underdog in the fourth UNDER result between the teams in their last five meetings. The Knicks are 3-2 both SU and ATS in their past five games against the Nets.
The Nets will be on the road in Toronto to face the struggling Raptors on Wednesday night before hosting Detroit on Friday night and then getting a visit from the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.
The Bulls and Nets will be meeting for the first time this season on Saturday, with Chicago 4-1 SU and 3-2 ATS over its past five games against the Nets. The Bulls lost 97-85 at home to the Nets as a 12-point favorite when they last met last February.
Boston has games against Western Conference opponents this week, as they play host to the Mavericks on Wednesday night before visiting the Rockets on Friday and the Spurs on Saturday. The Celtics lost 112-100 at home to the Spurs in late November, falling as a 1-point underdog on the NBA betting lines that day.
